My name is Paul Drabek. Everyone has something that they can really get into. For some its sports, for some its crafts or gardening but for me its roller coasters and amusement parks. Ive been interested in them since I was a child growing up in the Chicago area. I first heard about Chicagos Riverview Park and its legendary Bobs coaster from family. When I was three years old I got my first real taste of what was to fascinate me for the rest of my life. At a flyin at a small airport in nearby Bollingbrook, Il sat the lead car for the Chicago Loop roller coaster that was being built at the nearby Old Chicago MallAmusement Park. The yellow then futuristic looking car just glowed in the sun and I was able to crawl all over, under and around it. In my mind I could just imagine twisting track with this speeding all over and around. I was hooked.
